One of my newest Facebook friends recently gently noted that I frequently – but not always - spell words such as “honour” with a “u”. Others have also made mention of this, and the usual assumption is that it provides some indication of my origins.
Which could not be further from the truth: because I am a man of righteousness I spell “honour” the way God spells it in His Word. Let’s face it, if Jesus had wanted to say “all men should h-o-n-o-r the Son” He would have, but it’s quite obvious that men are called to h-o-n-o-u-r Him. Women, on the other hand, appear free to exercise either option - but for men the matter's clear cut.
I like to think of it this way: “The Bible puts You in Honour!” Without the Bible we have no honour, and were the Holy Scriptures not crucified on our behalf we could have no right to condemn everyone with whom we disagree as being without honour. Through the Word we are raised to be part of God’s honour, and He spells the word in such a way as to remind us of how we (well those like me, at any rate) are better than everyone else.
As a word of warning, however, the Bible also spells “Color” with “u” – which is probably not something to make a fuss about if you’d like to keep the offerings coming in from conservatives in places like Virginia. Having a little you in color is all very well if they think nobody’s looking, but never try mentioning that sort of thing in the sermon if you’d like to live to preach another Sunday. Remember, even Thomas Jefferson was careful to keep some Biblical insights to himself, and don’t for a moment ever think that today’s biggest donors in the parish are any different.
And now if you were paying careful attention you’ll remember that my opening paragraph mentioned I don’t always spell “honor” with a “u”. That’s because, like me, the Bible also likes to play both sides of the field.Leviticus 19:15 spells it without: a fascinating exception since the second part of verse provides the foundation upon which the GAFCON movement is built: “…in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour”.
I’m Father Christian and I teach the Bible.

Just to clarify that policy, your advice please Fr Christian. Does the following published piece from an American Anglican Council newsletter make us lying, deceptive, manipulative, and self-delusional? Or not? God forbid our enemies could judge US!
The first convention, from June 22-25 in Bedford, Texas, is being organized by ACNA, the Anglican Church in North America. Led by Bishop Robert Duncan, archbishop-designate, this new Anglican province is the 39th to be
formed under the umbrella of the wider Anglican Communion that also includes the Episcopal Church and other provinces throughout the world."

My feeling is it just shows little Bobby is very, very ambitious.
And that whoever owns the conference facilities is a fool if they don't demand cash up-front.
Many in Virginia put great honor in being a descendant of Pocahontas --there's even a club one can belong to. So, I guess they consider it privilege to be a person of color in certain circumstances....
Fr. Troll, I spelled both words the short way because I am woman and I live in Virginia. Can't help it. But you know that already.
"Archbishop designate" Duncan inter alia are smoking some Texas peyote if they actually think they are forming the 39th province. It is utterly clear that ABp Williams understands who is wining the cases and keeping the money.
100% of the good news coming from Jamaica is in two points: they adjourned(!) and before they did they decided to send the idiot covenant only to the 38 existing provinces. I make the best news the former.

I don´t mind going to Church and sharing Communion with bigots, thieves and liars...I mean, who´s perfect and I´ve always known I was doing that?
But I won´t be attending any religiouslike spiritual illusions at ACNA hangouts because, these sick dudes don´t know they are nuts (and those are the really dangerous/insane kind).
Gotta keep the innocent children and elderly out of the way of the oncoming cars (driven by drunken connivers/drivers and liars) traffic.
Margaret: Please understand that from a GAFCON perspective Virginia starts and ends with Fairfax - or more specifically Truro. It's nothing personal with regard to the rest of you, just that little Martyn says God told him nobody else exists.
There's another way to look at the "u" problem. I think of it as "you".
You either have honour or you don't have honor. You either have colour, or ya don't.
WARNINGI have good reason to believe this post is not authored by our beloved Father Christian but by AN IMPOSTOR!
What else could explain the satanic misquotation of the inerrant word of god in paragraph 5.
The greatest commandment does not appear in verse 5 of Leviticus 19 but in verse 15. Father Christian , who, as I'm sure I don't need to remind you, "teaches the Bible," would never make such a mistake.
The complete lack of Biblical knowledge displayed in this post leads me to only one conclusion. Evangelical Eric has somehow discovered Father Christian's Blogger password and is hacking into his computer. Mind you, how Eric managed to type Father Christian's password without suffering an evangelical seizure is a complete mystery.
Just making sure you're paying attention, my dear young Father.
Besides, my citation was correct in the original manuscript: any apparent anomaly in the textus receptus should in no way be seen as evidence of errancy in the original, which God simply hasn't chosen to show you.
